Ming Li

 Brief Biography

Currently I am an Assistant Professor at LAMDA led by Professor Zhi-Hua Zhou, my Ph. D. supervisor. 

I received my B. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in computer science from Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University, China, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. I joined Department of Computer Science and Technology of Nanjing University in 2008 as an assistant professor.

My current research interests include machine learning, data mining, information retrieval. I've worked on learning from labeled and unlabeled data, multi-instance learning, ensemble learning. I've been in charge of a research project of Graduate Innovation Program of Jiangsu Province on Semi-supervised Learning. Currently, I serve as the formal reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics - Part C: Applications and Reviews, Knowledge and Information System, etc., and served as PC members of CIKM'09, ACML'09,etc. I participated in PAKDD'06 Data Mining competition with other LAMDA members, and won the Open Category Champion. For the achievements having been made, I have been granted a number of awards and honors, such as Microsoft Fellowship Award, HP Chinese Excellent Student Scholarship, etc.

Research Interest

My current research interests mainly include Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, especially on Learning with Labeled and Unlabeled Data.
