My Bio
I am an associate Professor in Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University since Nov. 2007, also a member of State Key Lab for Novel Software and Technology and High Technology and Information Institue, Nanjing University. I am an assitant Professor from Sep. 2005 to Oct. 2007.
I earned undergradute, master and Ph.D in Nanjing Univesity. My Ph.D thesis (2005) won the best doctoral dissertation of Nanjing University in 2006 (优秀博士论文) , and selected as the candidates of the best Ph.D thesis of China Computer Federation (入围中国计算机学会优秀博士论文)
Certification of scientific and technological achievements, Ministry of Education of the Peple's Republic of China (教育部科技成果) , 2010 (3th)
I won the advanced individual of Jiangsu Computer Federation in 2009.
Secretary-general of CAD/CG committe of Jiangsu Computer Federation and a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF) from 2008.

My Research Interests
My research focuses on multimedia analysis, cross-media retrieval, graphics (visual object) recognition and 3D reconstruction, particularly for object detection, 3D models retrieval, image/video indexing and the analysis of scene contents. Understanding the content of everyday multimedia stream data is one of the fundamental challenges in computer vision and we believe that significant advances will be made over the next few years by combining state of the art image analysis tools with emerging machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
I've published more than 30 high-level journal or conference papers, including in the top journals or conferences of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI, impact factor 5.960) , Computer-Aided Design (CAD, impact factor 1.446), International Journal on Document Analysis and Recognition (IJDAR), International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) and others (see my publications).
I am the reviewer of international journals of Computer-Aided Design, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part B (SMCB - Part B), Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University, PC member of ICDAR'09 (Spain), GREC'09 (France), the organization chair of 2th Young Scientist Conference in Computer Science and Technology in Jiangsu Province in 2008 and a member of the organization committe of Chinagraph'10. I'm the reviewer of international conferences of GREC'07 (Brazil), CAD&A'07(USA), ICALIP'08 (China), FSKD'08 (China) and some others.
